A classy paintjob and very nice photos too! Thought I like the red ones best but that deep blue really is something special...

I thought of making the other version in metal finish but this looks a lot better, not in the least because the kit is so well made

Thanks Francky, I used Mr Surfacer 500. I'was thinking of doing a metal finish, but the overall surface was not clean and smooth enough for that. Thanks for your comments

Hello ! thanks for your kind comments. The Gaspatch model kit is really nice. A lot of tiny parts, but it's a pleasant kit to built. Thanks again.

My photos still won't upload, but I see others are posting new albums, so I guess the problem isn't universal

Great work, I could once buy one with the external jet pack, it looked like a lot of work to get a decent IV and passed, but you have done a very nice job with this one. I've always liked the big silhouette of this Mirage.

Tough kit but what a beauty when finished... Personally I do not think these need to be over-detailed, it´s all about the dashing shape, vibrant color, polished metal - not the number of switches on the instrument panel... Actually anything that distracts from the sleek streamlined machine-beauty would be exactly that - an unwanted distraction... there are plenty valid other model choices for going berserk on details, openings, gears & panels - this is really nice AS-IS!

Hi Jim C. Yes, you can find this catapult at Hannants (www.hannants.co.uk). Make a search with "HPH Models" as manufacturer and 1/48 scale. Around £60 I'think. Hope this helps. Bye Didier

Great painting But I think, the cross is much to small. I notice this immediately, because I'm building WWI biplanes. The cross was typically on the whole vertical tail assembly, so on the rudder you will see only part of it. I just looked into the "Edelweiss"-comic of Hugault, there is a rudder on the wall of the lounge of french pilots - the same. This would look much more authentic.

Bonjour.

A+ Didier
