That's a vey nice blue, sweet build 👍 How was the kit overall? Any fitting issues? Have it on my wishlist too

Hi Alexander! Thank you for your comments!
This kit is a challenge for any modeler.
Too many pieces and too many problems.
My first conclusion was that Aoshima designed this kit to remain open. There are a lot of holes in its alignment. The front cover doesn't fit with the front doors. The rear cover doesn't fit with the rear bumper.
The pieces are very fragile. Take care with their manipulation. Its structural joints are fragile. Reinforce them. The front suspension with the cockpit must be well joined. Use a pair of screws. Reinforce all joints of the rear bumper and with the rear bumper with the chassis.
Definitively, this kit was not designed for beginners.

Wow, ok. A bit overengineered I see. Thanks for the great explanation! 👍

This kit is amazing in details. I'd never build it I think. Your built is great. I like the details and painting, you've done. But it'd deserve another layer of clear coat. To late now😉

Hi Christian! I always use an acrylic clear. Unlike the 2k clears, acrylics doesn't have a ultra shine results. But yes! It could be more shinny!

This kit is awesome and everybody has built it, has my respect. I think the kit is over the top.

Thank you, Christian! About the clear coat, I prefer the results less "love apple" shining. I think that represents better a vehicle in a day by day basis than one ultra shining, that you only saw in a show saloon or in a sales room. Thats why I use a smooth finishing.

Beautyful color! Sadly, that you didn't paint the red plastic in the engine compartment and the undercarriage.
I like to see this model kit built.

In fact, I have prepared the kit to be finished in a polished plastic, with no painting in the body. During the work on the body, i found some failures in the plastic and, than, I decided to paint the body. Although, after painting the body with blue, I remember that I have the chassis in red, unpainted. Well, thats an aging effect, hehehe... The true is: This was a bad blue enveloping work in a red car. And that it!

The owner sprayed it over 😄
You wrote, that you wanted to polish the plastic. What do you take for it? I can't remember, to herd such technic.

Take a look at mine GT40 Photo album. It was polished, not painted. I use a Dremel with a 90 degrees adaptor that transform the tool in a polisher. Than, plugged in a dimmer to reduce the rotation under control. After that, using cotton dishes, we should apply polishing pastes. I have used #2, Meguiars 105 and 205, finished with a carnauba wax bay hand.

It may be I have looked up the incorrect car, as this kit is minus the big 'fan' in the rear, OR, am I wrong.

WOW!
Extremely realistic engine and compartment.
Looks like it could start and idle.
The rest of the build is a knockout too.

Hi Kerry! You are wrong. This kit is the BT46 version. The version with the rear fan was the BT46B.

Now you can go back and strip that chrome and paint it with Alclad or Spaztix, and ace the mould seam on the end plates, which should be red on the front wing.

Thank you for your comments.
The problem is... we don't have Aclad easily in Brazil and never heard about Spaz Stix (You Tube show me now).
In this job i have used the Molotow ink refil with airbrush. Very easy to apply and we can jump one step: Molotow doesn't need a glossy black base to shine.
The front wing wasn't red. Take a look on the image below.

A beautiful blast from the past. I remember the P34 racing in the '76 and '77 F1 seasons.
