This has been ongoing for about 3 years. Lot of scrachbuild; sometimes too much. Need to put all this together to finally finish the beast...

Stunning. I hope I can get my 1:48th one to look half as good.

I actually have a couple of laser cut ceilings and resin floors I bought online through another forum. The ceiling looks similar, but not nearly as many pieces, but with my lack of skills, I am sure it is plenty good enough for my builds, when ever I get around to them anyway.

Your build is beyond a master class, I have never seen anything like it. To be honest, it is both inspiring and soul crushing, how can anyone expect to compete with such perfection? I don't know where you got the skills, but they are awe inspiring. Thanks for sharing, hope you add more photos of this build, you have a lot of aftermarket that I also have, including the nice transmission.

One question, did you fabricate the rotorhead? I have not found any aftermarket that covers the work you have done on your.

Thanks in advance,

Anthony

Thanks for your kind words!
The rotor head is from the kit with Eduard PE, metal wiring, elongated sprue sort of rivets and decals from the spare box

Makes the result that much scarier, I was half hoping that you bought a super detailed rsin set to create that rotorhead. Well it does give us all something to shoot for. I am absolutely in love with helicopters, my first time in a Blackhawk, flying nap of the earth over the German countryside at night, I was HOOKED!

Since my return to modeling after decades long without building anything, I have bought a majority of help kits. I obviously want to build the Blackhawk, in its many forms, but I have other types as well. It seem the rotorhead is always a focus to observers, if that is not up to scratch, the rest is likely going to disappoint. Doing your rotoheads to this level, makes us want to see every last detail inside.

Those fab transmissions make a very nice seat though, far better than what the kit provides, certainly helps to keep up the looks when you set that rotorhead on top. Now that I have seen your work, I will buy the DAP for my extra goodies, I don't want to waste them on a typical bird. When I get back from my vacation, I will share pictures of my custom made resin floors as well, they are pretty impressive, wish I knew who created them in the first place, it is not available in any stores, but it should be.

Anyway, sorry, I am rambling now. Please share with us more pictures if you have them, I promise you, there is no lack of interest by anyone that stumbles across this build, everyone enjoys it.

Cheers,

Anthony
