Painting horses was interesting. Not the best kits overall but trying something new is always a good thing. as I've said, harness was a problem and it was a lot of fixing ad improvising. But if you don'0t look too closely and focus on other parts of dio it's fine. 🙂

"Which way to Moscow?" Horse drawn field kitchen passes crew of 2cm Flak 38 resting.

Flak 38 is pretty simple and straightforward kit. I opted for feldgrau paint and tried my hand at a bit of modulation, using slightly darker shade at lower parts Not sure how visible it is…… Weathering is simple. Some dry brushing of gun metal and using AK Interactive weathering pencils and pin washes. Minimal dirt on lower parts as I didn't want to overdo it. More of it on ammo boxes which I think would see more use.

Figures are so-so. There is extensive flash that requires significant clean up. However, parts fit nicely and have average amount of detail for injection kits. It's also one of few kits where troops are relaxing rather than "in action". The problem is that figures lack equipment and jackets. Whether this is oversight on MiniArt's part or deliberate to keep cost down I can't say. But if you are planning to use them in dio you better figure out how to fix this. I used old Verlinden set of clothing. As It's W-
