What is the black stuff you are using for masking?

Majestic, is the only word that I can use to describe your model. Thank you for showing how you applied the camo.

You freehanded that? Respect. You now you can also remove the needle protection to get as close as a few mm. Think I saw that in the last correction steps, but I'm not sure. Beware of not getting to close or the needle will ruin the modl and vice versa...
What kind of paint did you use and what pressure approx?

Wow, excellent work and super-cleanly done model, not sure I saw anything this precise and free of "scale betraying elements" in 144-scale... Many superbly applied techniques and judgement, I especially like the low-contrast panel linig. Stunning job all over 👍

Thank you all! Your comments are to kind!
The black putty I used for masking is Panzer Putty, a masking putty sold by several brands (mine is from Ammo).
Bart, indeed I removed the needle protecting cap for the correction steps, as it allows to work really close to the model surface, as you rightly pointed out. I was using and air pressure of around 1.0-1.2 bar, as it was the lowest pressure that would still result in good paint atomization. The paint was well reduced with thinner (around 75% thinner, a bit more or less, depending on the paint consistency). For this model I've used Mr. Color lacquers, but it would result equally well with other paints (water based acrylics would be a bit more challenging, but they would also work well).
Slavo, the low contrast panel lining was an experiment using custom mixed model washes (both acrylic and enamel) as I fell that my previous attempts resulted to stark! I mixed model washes with white model wash, to get a slightly darker shade than the base color and used this mix to shade each individual camo color. You can find a somewhat better description of the process at my blog: mpminiatures.wordpre..i-1144-scale-part-2/

I hope you find this helpfull!

Thank you!
The hangar is still a work in progress. I am still adding some exterior and interior details, with the painting stages still not very near!
I have an open project with the hangar construction!

Thanks Marco for the quick & detailed reply. Panel lines IMHO make a large portion of scale impression, the smaller the scale, the more important it is not to have big black ridges carved over the surface - you have an excellent example here of how (at least in my opinion) the right effect is achieved!
