Nice job. A query, did the buck do its own designation of lgb, never investigated this as you hear mainly about tornado. What colour have you used, I only ever heard about desert pink. Limited research by me so like to learn from yourself. You've done a great job on this

Thanks, often forgotten plane, Tornados and Jaguars seem to have all the press

Thanks for your interest! As Augie wrote, they did both self-designation and designation for Tornados. The airplane I modeled is credited with the destruction of an Iraqui cargo plane (you can see the video feed from the strick at around 0:10'' of this clip: Youtube Video). Next to the mermaid pin-up painting you can notice the mission markings, which include a cargo airplane silhouette (viewed from the top).
As far as color, I mixed the shade using Tamiya acrylics, trying to match the color to some photos of the period. The model was built for a review published in SAM a number of years ago.

YouTube gives error, but thanks. I recall a story about bucks a few years back at a red flag or similar and the US fighters not being able to catch them at low level as they were so fast. Always liked the look of them with sea eagles

@Scott - I remember seeing target POV video footage of the RAF Buccaneers at Red Flag during the late 70s/early 80s to which you refer. They were flying so low that each time they banked left and/or right, the wingtip-wash disturbed the dust on the ground!! Now that was flying NOE!!! (Wish I could find the footage!).

Let's see if this link works:

Youtube Video

It's the same clip and around 10'' mark, it shows the video feed of the strike that took out the airplane (corresponding to the kill mark on the airplane). If the embedded video player fails, try clicking on the above link to watch it on youtube directly. I hope it works.
