Ye-152A "Flipper" Soviet Heavy Interceptor

The E-152 and E-152A (also Ye-152 / Ye-152A) were developed in the late 1950s from the interceptor E-150 from OKB-156.

The E-152A was designed to accommodate two K-9-155 missiles, with the new radar TsP-1 was installed.

The E-152A completed before the E-150 on 10 July 1959 with G.K. Mosolow in the cockpit her first flight.

After completing the flight test in August 1960, the E-152A had carried out a total of 55 flights and only 2 flights with K-9 rocket dummies.

Die Je-152A reached a speed of 2500km / h at an altitude of 20,000 meters.

The E-152A was publicly displayed in 1961 at the end of the air parade in Tushino and generated much attention among the NATO experts, who gave it the name "Flipper".

Wenn irgendwo in der damaligen UdSSR irgendein Flugzeugingenieur irgendwas Fliegendes zusammengeschustert hat, dann kennt der Bernhard den Flieger UND der Bernhard weiß, wo es den passenden Bausatz dazu gibt (egal in welcher Qualität) UND der Bernhard baut dann ein perfektes Modell daraus UND der Bernhard fotografiert dieses Modell dann so, als wäre es ein Foto vom echten Flieger.
Und zu diesem Modell bleibt nur zu sagen, Gratulation (mal wieder). 🙂

Personally, I grew up with the false reports of this plane. What was wrong became clear to me almost 30 years later. Nevertheless, it was an exciting time and extremely interesting to follow these aircraft developments in the 1960s. Today, everything reads so smoothly in the relevant literature.

Natürlich ging dieser wieder mal unbemerkt an mir vorbei! Wobei man dies von Deinem Modell so nicht behaupten kann 😉
Erst kürzlich im FF entdeckt, kann ich mich hier den anderen "nur" anschliessen und gratulieren. Top Qualität - vom Modell bis zu den Bildern. Das Gesamtpaket. Eine Augenweide, wie immer.
Du solltest jenes Bild, welches Du als Grössenvergleich neben einer Mig-21 aufgenommen hattest, hier auch noch zeigen - ist sehr eindrücklich.
