First completed Firebar from the new kit I have seen! Looks great! As Wim asked, what are your thoughts on the kit?

Wow, already built the 1/48 Firebar? Hope it was not as exhausting as the 1/72 AMODEL makes that usually consume a lot of filler?

Also the first to see for me. Hmm, I should get one too. He looks strange, ugly and... Cool!

A beautiful detailed kit, I had a lot of fun building it. The cockpit is beautiful but the pilot seats are unrealistic, need to be replaced with resin. There's a bit too much rivets, the real plane has more, but not so deep ones. I really don't care much about it, but you know there are freaks of rivetting. The biggest problem is the instruction sheet. The part numbers, color codes and step numbers are too difuse. The color codes are a real mess and totally wrong. You really can get nuts if you don't look at original plane pics and still have to guess some of them. All in all a totally recommendable kit for this beautiful plane, first one in its scale. FYI I ripped out my hair when trying to do the Yak-2PP of Amodel and it landed in the trashcan like most Amodel kits. I don't buy them anymore.

Nice work Selman! Got mine a few days ago and the kit looks indeed great.
Must say that I didnt expect less after their great Tu-2 and IL-4 kit.

Those nmf paint schemes are hard to get right. You seem to know how very well. Great bird

The metallics are white aluminium and chrome from Vallejo, the green is from Akan (73060) the black is H12and the grey is H305 both from Gunze. It was hard to choose because as i wrote above, the color indications in the instructions are totally wrong...
