Some little improvements in the cockpit, useing some evergreen rod and foil. 

The ejection seat was replaced with the resin seat from Quickboost. 

Prepared for painting. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sanding down the flaps to rebuilt them lowered. 

 

 

 

Started with modification of the tailplanes. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bendix RTA-41B/RNA-26C antenna made frome styrene sheet. 

VOR ring antenna made from brass rod. 

Ready for the paint shop. 

Cockpit area was painted with Tamiya x-18, the markings on the wings and tail fin were painted with yellow xf-8 and a few drops of orange xf-6. 

 

First main color was Tamiya xf-13. 

I used UHU Patafix/Tesa Blue Tack for masking the camouflage pattern. 

Second color for the upper side was Tamiya x-9 with some drops of Tamiya x-3 and xf-18. 

Added some shades useing Tamiya Smoke x-19. 

 

Underside was painted with a mixture of Gunze Light Blue H45 with some Light Gull Gray H51 and Chalky White H451. It´s the same color as the wheel wells and their doors but looks faded to nearly grey on most pictures. 

All parts coverd with a öayer of Tamiya Clear TS-13. 

Decals done... 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The nice little ladder from Brengun. 

 

The undercarriage shows the same light blue as the underside of the jet. 

The Skyhawk receives a coat of flat varnish. 

The Scooter stands on its wheels, finally added the undercarriage. 

 

 

Drilled a little hole underneath the cockpit to attach the ladder. 

 

The last few missing pieces...
