Erik, 322 was formed in 1943 with clipped wing mk V's. From 1944 the mk IX's and XIV's came along 🙂

I liked this 🙂 The panelwash brings out the details very nicely (as opposed to my own), and it is interesting for me to see the exact same model done with a greater level of technical finesse. Actually a good way to learn something! Also really enjoyed the silver chipping, looks very lifelike, also by the canopy, as well as on the wing in general.

Album info

This Spitfire of the 322 (Dutch) RAF squadron was finished in the standard day fighter scheme, but had the green and grey reversed.

The 'nose art' reads 'Prinses Beatrix', the later queen of the Netherlands.
The orange triangle is the Dutch pre-war air force marking.
