Kees Kleijwegt Interesting project, following!
Will you cast the scene in transparent resin?
28. December 2018, 18:17
coporado Not yet Sure about the water, because of the site of the base. Could get into trouble with resin here as it would be a lot of resin
29. December 2018, 12:31

Neuling Good scene very well implemented!
7. October 2019, 11:06
coporado Much appreciated neuling, thanks mate!
7. October 2019, 17:07
Arne Greve Nice work, coporado. Whats the story behind this scene?
11. October 2019, 06:11
coporado Thanks Arne! The 109 crashed close to my parents home and close to the nearby airfield at my hometown in 1942. This was the main inspiration for the dio. Second was to take the challenge of recreating that damages on the aircraft.
11. October 2019, 08:48
Arne Greve Thank you for this information. :)
11. October 2019, 09:07
coporado Unfortunately there are no confirmed information concerning the pilot. But looking at the scene he presumably survived the crash (opened canopy and ambulance car nearby). Taking all those trees into account he was a lucky one to hit the gap between the bigger trees.
11. October 2019, 09:14
Arne Greve Is the original photo from one of your ancestors?
11. October 2019, 10:23
coporado That might have been the dot in the story behind the dio, Arne. Unfortunately not, pic comes from a huge collection of pictures and researched military history of Magdeburg (my hometown). Some very nice and engaged guys are always busy on that in this community --> f15919.nexusboard.de/forum.php
There are also general pictures and information available (mostly researched on historical pictures or papers) such as vehicle and aircraft markings or uniform references for example.
If you might be interested, registration is required to see pictures.
cheers Sascha

Harry Eder Nice! Which scale is it? For searching some figures ;)
6. August 2019, 11:05
Christian Bruer Cool project, very well done
6. August 2019, 12:20
coporado Thanks mates! @Harry Scale is somewhere between 1/87 and 1/100, recommendations for figures are welcome :)
7. August 2019, 04:10
Harry Eder I think you could take figures from H0 rail. For example "Noch" or "Preiser"... there are many guys on the beach in that scale.
7. August 2019, 05:56
Alex K Hi! Errr... if that's not too INAPPROPRIATE (pun well intended - warning: XXX ahead - I know there have been some controversies on Scalemates over nudity) here is a figure set I have ear-/bookmarked for a "Saint Tropez" vignette I was thinking of: https://preiser-figuren.de/p..satz-preiser-10107,art-16517 - but, as Harry suggested above, there are apparently many other 1/87 figures for people on the beach. Greetings and congrats - A.
7. August 2019, 13:29
bughunter Adding those "People from Ibiza" (earworm ;)) would make a nice dio even greater!
7. August 2019, 17:33
coporado Thanks for your suggestions gents! @Harry + Alex those Preiser or Noch Kits seem to have some suitable parts for the dio. The ladies in the kit you suggested Alex are convincing but definitely need an appropriate man beside :)
