Looking very nice Christian. Too bad that kit is no longer ava.

Christian Ristits
Is it really sold out? So it puts more pressure on me to build it smooth!
28. July 2014, 15:49
Clifford Keesler
Yes they are sold out to my dismay. But the Acadmey B anc C are still around so guess I will have to settle for that.

Christian Ristits
I think this is a good choice...the kit itself is of good quality, spend him a PE-Set for the cockpit, and its done...

Thank you very much for your kind words, mates! They mean a lot to me! Just working on the paintjob...although the paint-scheme seems not so difficult, it causes some troubles to me.
2. August 2014, 15:52
Christian Ristits
Update...the main paintjob is finished...tomorrow I will paint the exhaust section and black-section on the upper fuselage... ;)
2. August 2014, 17:56
Christian Ristits
Update...what a hell of a paintjob...but I did it...I am satisfied with the result...

Hi Christian, nice result! Just wondering, do you use Tesa Krepp for masking? I always use Tamiya or Aizu masking tape not to ruin the paint work because of tackiness of other tapes. Cheers, Christian
3. August 2014, 10:31
Sven Schönyan
Hey Christian, very nice build. Do you do the painting according to the instruction?
3. August 2014, 10:55
Christian Ristits
@Christian, thank you! Yes, I indeed use a mix of revell masking and tesa krepp tape...it works well, I never had problems with it (and its cheap as well) ;)
@ Sven, if you mean the colours...I have to convert the colours in the instruction sheet (aqueos and Mr. Colour) to revell...for the main fuselage I have used Revell grey 371 with a little shot of grey 76. Undersite is white.
Cheers!

Christian Borchmann-Backhaus
How did you thin the revel aqua colors?
5. August 2014, 17:39
Clifford Keesler
Looking very nice Christian. I'm jelaous LOL.
5. August 2014, 18:10
Christian Ristits
@Christian - I thin them with Revell Aqua Mix...difficult colours with 2:1...well covering colours 1:1;
@Clifford, no need to be jelaous...at the moment I am really struggling with soooo many stencils *lol*
5. August 2014, 18:37
Christian Ristits
Oh No! Furball has printed the access markings incorrrectly - as you can see on the pic, there is also the number of the stencil printed as stencil itself *lol* That is causing much more work...not funny ;)
5. August 2014, 20:37
Christian Ristits

If we like them? Yes we do, indeed!!!
Fantastic build!
