Bruce Leyland-Jones I missed these models of yours and have only just found them. Great examples of the Lesney product, beautifully modelled.

John Soule Thanks! I've found a couple more and will post when I find the time.

Bruce Leyland-Jones I take it that these aren't actually being built for the Group Build? (I know...I've also shown my collection of previously built Matchbox kits).

John Soule Correct...these are all oldies. I just had the intuition that there would be a group build someday so I made them in advance! My building habits are so glacially slow anyway that I'd never finish anything unless the time frame for completion was outrageous!

Phil Marchese Nice adaptation. Would this be the Flight Test (X) -5E as presented?

John Soule Yes Phil. Saw the photo in Sqadron's "In Action" book and thought I could scratch build the APS-4 radar pod for fun.

Phil Marchese Thanks John. For anyone contemplating this, the M-box SB2C Helldiver comes with two of these radar pods and I think in reality they only carried one, thus creating a spare.

John Soule I'm certain you're correct Phil, on all accounts. I wouldn't expect anything less from you...the king of obscure prototypes and variants. I enjoyed viewing your albums!
