Thank you mates! I am pleased that you like it! 🙂

very nice... I don't know wether you have some pencil or metal powders (like the ones from Ushi VDR), then you could try to buff up the cilinder part of the crane, as these are highly polished in reality. But it still is a very nice work, and the way the suspension of the VW is going seems a lot more plausible.

You're right Bart, I'll get this week an better foil to make the cylinder rod more polished. Thanks for your compliment 🙂

The hydraulic rod on the crane can be easily replicated with a sewing needle cut to length, and they come in all sizes. 🙂 Just s thought. 👍

Wow, thats incredible.... with the right camera settings and background you wouldn't be able to tell what was real (life size) or not! I'm in awe o.O
Out of curiousity, what weathering techniques did you use on that fuel drum? Using salt or something under paint? And what did you make it from?
13 December 2015, 20:08
Jonns Pfeiffenberger
Thx Steven fot your nice words! I uses the hairspray technique, first rust brown, then hairspray, then white/red. With water and a hard brush I rubbed the top color slightly down. I only use water acryl colors (Vallejo, Ammo, AK) Finish with brown colors variation und some earth pigments and Ak's Engine Oil.
