Yesterday morning was airbrushing day. I mixed my yellow from H69 (gloss yellow) and H154 (matt insignia yellow) and airbrushed with great joy first the lower side. And noticed too late that the mixture is too glossy! The engravings filled up with paint and I had a great collection of dust and micro hairs in my wet surface (grrrrrrrrrr!)
After all I could correct the mixture by adding more H154 on the upper side and tail.
Yesterday and today evening things went well with the cowling: red and orange OK, decals OK, masking OK and correct mix for Seablue (aprox. 60-70% glossy) OK.

Well Bernhard... I knew that this one comes out like it is from the start. Unic idea and excellent work as always!

Thank you Christian!
I had to pay dearly for my mistake with the airbrushing (too glossy) yellow: when I sanded & cleaned the surface of the dust particles and "micro hairs" I scrubbed the the paint off in some parts-🙁
With the red, I was more clever: I first tried the degree of glossiness on a scrap piece of plastic🙂

Where's it going to compete? At the Sino Air Races, Schrock Bull Championships or Paraplastix Sky Racers? 😉
Man, this is brilliant! 👍👍

Just a mind game...

Album info

I have always wanted to have or to create an own racer. As I do not have a chance to have one in size 1:1 now I would like to do this in 1:48.

Yesterday I have decided to register the bird in Germany🙂
