Thanks! If there will be some time I will try to make some decals during the weekend. This kit is really greate, Eduard made a excellent job, I only wonder why there were no positioning pins on the fuselage?

Thanks! It is great that you like it! I just wonder if I should weather it more, or just put flat varnish and add some scratches and leave it as it is? What do you think?

Well a little bit more war weary is the way I like it but I must say it already looks great. A bit of chipping and scratching and engige stains would look even better I think. And don't forget the wheels, a bit of dust and dirt will look good also.

Rafal, depends on who you ask, some people would like it lo look like it was just out of the factory, and others they love it to look like it went though all WWII without maintenance.... the question is, what do YOU think? you will be the one looking at it later. if if looks good, leave it. if you think something ins missing (chipping, weathering, bullet holes, you name it....) go ahead 🙂
in my opinion, satin varnish, and it is done. but that is my opinion, the model will not be looking at me from the shelf😉

well it depends what you ask for? 🙂 Rivets already done on a model, excellent detail, but during assembly some were lost due to sanding and cement so I have bought Trumpeter riveting tool and I riveted the upper and lower part of the fuselage, also engine are need to have some riveting, I've made it first time so I have some problems. You need to have some thick tape ( I had 1,5mm insulation one) and use it as a ruler. Then I just made the oil dark wash over the gloss varnish to enhance the detail.

The black wash i mean. what wash and what technique.
thank you.

ha, ok!😉 Well, first I've covered whole model with wet coat of tamiya X22. Then I let it to dry for min 24h. I was using oil paints from the artistic shop, don't remember the brand. I have squeeze a little of black and dark brown to paper towel. Then I take the brush, a middle sized old one. I dip in black, then put in some small cup. Same with dark brown, mixed it and I added odorless thinner from AK. I'was doing it on eye.. But it shouldn't be too thin. Then I've put it on the model as you see on the photos. It should look similar to my photos, if it is too thin then it wont stick to the surface.. you will see. Now... leave it for some time to get dry, or use hairdryer to speed it up. But be careful with the hot air, treat it from a distance. When it is dry, take a paper towel or a tissue and wipe it. Just like that, no thinner. But it is important that the surface is shiny. Sorry for my English, hope you understand.😉
