Oh yeah, Clifford! Great Corsair! Must have been in the very early stages of war that the markings (Stars) have been painted on both sides of the wings? These american markings are confusing sometimes... Stars...Stars with bars... Stars with bars and a red line around it... Stars withbars and a red line in the middle...

Thank you all very much, your encouraging comments are much appericated. @Holger, yes it was a early war early model corsair. I believe it was the first production model. It is a Tamiya kit, so was a joy to build. It is only my second Tamiya kit ever, and it was a fun build, except for the decals. Tamiya decals stink.

I usually find big Tś decals thick but don have problems applying them....your Corsair is another fine addition to your shelves!
