Neubaufahrzeug

Album image #1
Man, this thing has a lot of wheels! These are just the idlers.

Album image #2
Invasion of the road wheels!

Album image #3
Detail like this everywhere!

Album image #4
Notice the detail on the fender...

Album image #5
Now look UNDER the fender!

Album image #6
Lots of tiny details, but so far a fairly quick build (once the wheels were done).

Album image #7
There are some very tiny and fragile pieces, like grab irons, door bumpers and antenna parts. I decided to glue them in place and will clean them up after they dry.

Album image #8
Almost ready to start painting.

Album image #9
Base colors applied using Model Master acrylic paints

Album image #10
Done!

The Neubau-Fahrzeug is almost ready to start painting. It came together pretty quickly - once the wheels were done.

Nice and clean built, George! You're really a fast builder without dropping quality! 👍

Can you compare this kit with the Amusing Hobby ones?
20 March 2013, 08:10
George Bacon
Holger, I only know what I read about comparing these two kits. perthmilitarymodelli../neubaufahrzeug.html

This kit seemed verydetailed, yet easy to build (especially if you like wheels) 😉

Oh, thx for the link, George! Very interesting!
And i only like wheels who are finished, painted, weathered and attached!😢

The paint scheme looks great. Did you mask or free hand the paint?
20 March 2013, 14:48
George Bacon
The grey was airbrushed and the brown was freehand.
