Thanks. The cat decided he liked this one in it's old Russian livery and he smashed the aerial array off among other things...so I had to hide all the attachment points! Pretty crude kit..I'll spend a few days picking out the paint details, wash n weather and then fill the horrendous track gaps with ground cover. I have the retro Italeri bug at the moment as I've managed to find a Testors Kangaroo on Amazon! I wonder if AFV makes Canadian tracks lol?!

Thanks! I am not sure what to even call it - it comes with an adhesive layer but I suspect this paper is actually the backing and the adhesive part (which I discarded) is supposed to be of some use for who knows what purpose, lol.It reminded me of "Tuffback" which is a paintable temporary adhesive material which is commonly used in the film industry when a wall needs to be "painted". At any rate I have a couple of yards so enough for a lifetime and I really like the textured look of it - it holds washes and thinned down paint really nicely!

Thanks. It does have a "seventies vibe" to it because of the drybrushing but i don't have time to monkey around with the airbrush right now😉

Well, my personal opinion is that drybrushing is a wrongly neglected technique of modern modelling.

Great work, Julian! 👍 👍 I love the looks of this one!

And I agree with you, Ulf. Drybrushing is often regarded an outdated technique but obviously that simply isn't true 🙂 IMHO a technique cannot be outdated. I use it all the time as well.

You don't need Canadian tracks on the Kangaroo, Julian. T-48 or T-51 tracks will do.

Really? Thanks. I guess T 49 wouldn't work?

Not really. I think the Americans kept T-49 to gun tanks and recovery vehicles and didn't use it much on M7s. Nothing is impossible, but most of the Defrocked Priests had T-51 or T-48. T-54E1 is possible though.

Album info

This little mini dio will represent a T-26 captured by SS Division Totenkopf. Their field workshop has added a German radio and aerial, some pioneer tools, and some added armour plates. The original Russian radio and aerial have been removed.
