No. 2 "Flying Cheetah" Squadron, South African Air Force, No. 233 Wing, 211 Group
RAF Desert Air Force, Western (North African) Theatre, 1942
Flown by Major D. B. Hauptfleisch, AFC

The South African Air Force 2 Squadron was formed in 1940. The squadron has a long history, having been involved in every single combat action in which the SAAF has taken part. During the Second World War it made a name for itself in the battles for East Africa, distinguished itself in North Africa as part of the Desert Air Force and later fought in Italy.

While this was packaged as a Revell kit, I don't think it was up to the usual standards. Still a fun kit to build and with some SAAF decals you don't see too often.
