Back to Basics - Recreational Builds
1:100 Revell Seahawk. Built in my kitchen after tearing down my old workplace before moving places.
Not sure about that yellow/red missile. I followed the instructions!
Good old Hind, also Revell 1:100. Built in the same kitchen after the Seahawk. Could not resist and unpacked my Airbrush and compressor for this one.
Unmistakable silhouette!
1:320 Revell DC-10. Beautiful classic KLM colors.
1:144 Tempest from the Revell MicroWings series. Built in a rehabilitation facility after undergoing a surgery in 2014.
An 1:144 aggressor scheme Tiger II.
Started somewhere mid 2000ths, finished a couple of years ago.
German Starfighter, build this one also during my surgery recovery.
As well as the Heller Mirage 2000. Used really the most basic set of tools and what I found in my surroundings. I used hand sanitizer for cleaning my brushes 😄. Really hope nobody spotted me filling a plastic cup with this stuff!
The kit was quite meh to be honest.
A pair of UTIs.
1:144 combo from Eduard, the finest kits I have ever layed my hands on in this scale. Truly amazing.
Enjoyed these ones especially. Lovely color schemes and the kits were a dream.
Same scale, same manufacturer. A pair of MiG-21bis.
The colorful Bulgarian.
Brush painted
And the silver Polish arrow.
Enjoyed these ones very much, built not even a year ago.
A 1:144 Revell D-Tomcat.
That Grim Reaper on the tail fin is amazing.
The flaming blast from the past.
Finished just recently, mostly because the huge box annoyed tf out of me.
The biggest challenge was the seam that was running along the surface between the two hull halves exactly in the middle. Was pretty tricky to get rid of it and not to damage the structure of the hull.

Cool idea, love the UTIs. Btw. pity the silver Polish arrow lacks the tiger chute pod and "Navy" inscription, both made it very unique among our Fishbeds.

Once in a while, after taking a longer break from the hobby, forced by circumstances or deliberate, I do one of these "Recreational Builds" whenever I return to the working table.
The rules are simple: Some basic and small kit with not too many parts, basic set of tools and paints. No aftermarket, no planning, no research. Just follow the instruction, plain and simple. Absolutely no hassle and stress free build, like in the "good old days". I can't recommend this enough! A fantastic "warm up" before tackling the next big project.
The models are really nothing fancy but are in my memory these are some of the most enjoyable and fun builds and I would like to present them all in a separate album.
Enjoy!
