The nose of the Revell kit droops down a bit compaired to the Italiari kit. Both kits have there pluses and minuses. Gary

I chose to make the gun barrels for the Italereri kit because of the large opening in the air scoop. Cut out pieces of the stealt fighter bombay kit were used in the gun bay. Gary

For the italieri cockpit, which came with decals for the side consoles and instrument panel, I made casting from the revell kit to use. Gary

Gun painted and installed on the Italeri, and the gun cap hole were drilled out. Instrument and side panels were cast from the Revell kit and used for the Italeri kit along with the decals. Gary

I also own the Revell/Monogram kit, from when it was just Monogram. I WANT to complete the !:32 one first, since I'm just getting the scope of this project in my brain....wow. I have all the photo-etch packets, including the gun kit, bought the resin ejection seat, and just am floored by this! I'm not even going to guess as to how long this may take!

Hi Gary, The Revell kit is a decent kit for the money. Hope you have cleared a lot of space for the 1/32nd model. Gary

As James C says, the children may be ugly, but as in the A-10 community, they will be well hung!

I can tell that the Italeri was a bad fitting model, but which would you think was more accurate?
10 May 2016, 13:35
Gary
Hi Dave, In my opinion the Revell kit has more detail and more accurate. Plus it cost less. One thing I don't like about the Revell kit is the open only option to the canopy unless it's modified. Thanks Gary
