Kit's vinyl tracks are not that bad only... a little to short overall and need to be stretched. Also the links themselves are a bit smaller than they should be. So here are semi-workable (only one joint movable) tracks, also from Trumpeter.

Left: semi-workable tracks converted as spares. Right: kit spare tracks. Why they put ejection pins on the visible side instead of the one with locator pins is beyond my understanding.

I did my research, I dug through the web in search for the most relevant color equivalents for this - quite challenging scheme. And in the end I used an outdated cross-reference, so this one turned into a typical 90's GI Joe-like camo...

It turned out - this was the proper equivalent. Of course it is all without washes and filters, so it might be a little flat and vibrant.

I did only a quick shot with my mobile phone - those colors are definitely duller. I took some liberties in making the shapes - but the references are consisting mostly of equally different sprayed museum pieces (with lots of shortcuts).

I went on with the J's work making pattern, though it is different than what Trumpeter suggests and of course - totally different from the photos as well. Guess it'll have to do.

The cupola is very busy, but I should've stick to the plastic smoke dispensers - they look much more like the actual ones.

Hi Wojciech!
This is an absolutely fascinating vehicle. I can understand that you "instantly fell in love with" it!🙂
One of these Stridsvagns is exhibited in the German tank museum in Munster. I am there quite often (and call it "my second living room"😉) and I never miss to pay this tank my special attention.
So carry on with this interesting project! So far you did a top job with all the brass stuff I can't wait to see your model grow.👍

So far it's going nicely - even though Trumpeter didn't make it easy on ejector marks. Now I have to solder front brackets, because their quite complex shape is not well suited for CA glue.

@Bart - yes it wil be in splinter camo, it just have to be as unique as the tank😉

@Achim - I'm quite sure about the green because it's just the primer so in no way it resembles the original thing. I will soon start the proper painting 🙂

I might actually see those videos, because what reference I have are from Belgian museum and I must say that I disagree with some details and paintjob. They are understandable for a museum piece, but shouldn't be present on a service vechicle. I'll see if I'm right or wrong 🙂

Thanks a lot 🙂 And as I was able to see, though we use mainly the same kits and detail sets, we have a little different approach 🙂 SO far the S-103 is painted with decals applied, varnished and filters are applied. However I didn't have time recently to make wash yet... But it's coming, it's coming 🙂
