This one earns a "Do NOT Recommend" status from me. Canopies are crap. Struts...well, are struts.

It may be a bad fitting kit but yours looks good.

Thanks...distance and lots of fiddling makes a difference. The pilot's canopy is open because it looks like trash trying to close it. There is a gap betwixt the first and second gunner's canopies that is not supposed to be there. And...one of the wing floats is wonky. I think I have to accept that I don't do 'photorealism' too well, but I can get by on a makeshift 'impressionism'. 8^D}

Be all that as it may, this is almost the "only game in town" for a 1:72 Kingfisher, & the old Lindberg kit looks less like one when finished. For me, the worst thing about the Airfix kit is the perfectly flat cylinder end for a crank case. On the up side, it has floats, beaching gear & optional land plane gear...& I have seen a couple built to high contest standards.

Album info

Float version of the catapult mounted fleet scout. In intermediate blue over gull grey. Done with the red ball stars. It comes with ID for the USS Arizona craft.

It is quite small. The pilot has no feet and the gunner-observer is a bust only.
