22 May 2015, 17:54
Clifford Keesler
Your instrument panels are just amazing. To bad I can't do them that well, would save me a small fortune in Photo-Etch. LOL.
22 May 2015, 17:57
Augie
Lol thanks Clifford.. its a case of not being afraid to use the decals.. pencils.. and very small brushes lol.

Oddly my TF-104 was what I was thinking of building next! lol
22 May 2015, 18:01
Clifford Keesler
That's just weird, telepathy maybe? LOL.
22 May 2015, 18:13

22 May 2015, 18:15
Clifford Keesler
I can always do my F-86D Sabre Dog, or maybe one of my mass of WWII stuff, Like a SPIT,maybe or a 109?

Augie

22 May 2015, 18:35
Clifford Keesler
I assume you are using aftermarket decals? I will be on mine. Mine will be NMF. USAF.Would like to do a Luftwaffe F-84F, but don't know of any F-84F kits.
22 May 2015, 18:40
Augie
my TF going to be Luftwaffe
22 May 2015, 18:43
Clifford Keesler
I am going to do my 1/32 in German Marine markings so decided to do the TF-104 in the Itilian AF markings. I also forgot that I have my BAE Lighting to do also. I am really having a hard time decideing which scheme to do it in.

23 May 2015, 04:26
Augie
🙂 well.. I have to say, I've always liked it in slate an slime...
23 May 2015, 08:11
Melf Boyens
Great stuff! The only skill i could easily compete with you is the way you also dirtyfy your enamel paint tins...great to see i am not alone! Go for "Luftwaffe", yeah Germany 🙂
23 May 2015, 17:45
Augie
Lol Melf, its taken years of practice to get them that messy...

23 May 2015, 19:26

26 May 2015, 14:07
Augie

26 May 2015, 15:25
Choppa Nutta
haha, yeah it wasn't this kit but I did have a few F-84's in 1/72 though, it was just seeing it on your bench taking shape nicely it gave me a lovely little moment of nostalgia 🙂
26 May 2015, 15:32
Augie
Ha.. I see 🙂
26 May 2015, 17:02

Augie

28 May 2015, 15:44
soheil moghisi
Very nice
28 May 2015, 19:38
Rex
I'm glad to see that you built the nuke first, most people build the weapons as an afterthought.

You're right, that Mk 7 is huge,,,,,so huge in fact that it is the cause of the Skyhawk's long landing gear legs.
28 May 2015, 20:07
Gordon Sørensen
Looks great so far!
Denmark has a Non-Nuclear Proliferation Policy, so would they ever have carried a Mk 7, and being as its a Reconaissance RF-84, would they carry any weapons...(just curious..)
28 May 2015, 21:34
Augie
Thanks Guys.

Gordon, Its a slight what-if.. so i've taken a few liberties with reality in that respect.
28 May 2015, 21:51
Rex
Almost all model jets are Whiffers if the weapons are configured as "live". So, Augie, I wouldn't sweat that too much. I know I hardly ever build with "blue stripes" on my jet's weapons,,,,,,all Yellow stripes and Red-Brown rocket motor stripes for me. I know some won't believe it,,,,,but a loaded up Sparrow with Yellow nose stripe and Red-Brown rocket stripe would have been rare in 1978,,,,,and we build them that way alllll the time.
28 May 2015, 23:53
Kerry COX
Augie, your talents and skills are always something wonderful to see. I kid you not mate.🙂
29 May 2015, 00:04
Augie
thanks Rex, very true its rare mine are done with "blue" ones...

thanks Kerry 🙂 considering at first I didn't think much to this kit, its actually coming out much better than I expected

31 May 2015, 08:21

8 June 2015, 18:37
Augie

Lovely build, Augie. I like the scheme. How did you do the lights in the tip tanks? Did you drill them out?
13 June 2015, 01:05
Clifford Keesler
Yea, how did you do the lights? Inquring minds want to know. LOL.
13 June 2015, 01:06
Philip De Keyser
Great job Augie 👍👍👍
13 June 2015, 07:07
Augie
Thanks Guys 🙂 one thing no one noticed.. I'd left the lights out on the wings.. this has been corrected now lol

The tip tanks were just a drop of paint on the inside of the lenses.. no drilling needed on this one.
13 June 2015, 08:23
Clifford Keesler
I see them now. But you fixed them. LOL.
13 June 2015, 20:11
