RF-4B Phantom
Some pre-shading with brown and then using Gunze H316 White FS17875. This white turned out more ivory. When I opened the bottle the solvent was really brown and when mixed it was an ivory color. Not sure if it is supposed to be like this.
All done and looking creamy.
As in my opinion it looked to creamy I misted some XF1 white over it. Looks better to me. IRL the H316 still is visible giving it more depth.
Topside with a dark gray pre-shading. Next Gunze H315 Gray FS16440.
First time using MRP surface primer.
Works like a charm. For me the new go to black primer.
Test of the setup.
Starting the weathering.
Wash is done. Next some streaking and leaks.
MRP also excellent metal paints. IMO better then Alclad 2.
Starting some weathering with washes and oiles.
Businesses end after a wash and AK pencils.

Super phantom! Great work with metal areas. The in flight postion is the real shape of the planes. I choose this way every time. ????

Thx mates!
And this ends this build after almost 15 years lingering on the shelf of doom.

Great job on this Phantom. Love the paintjob - is this the kit with the raised panels?

Thx mates.
@Thomas, this kit came out circa 2005 and has engraved panel lines. Except for the stabilizers, they have raised panel lines. Go figure.
