Wonderful shiny finish! How did you get that uniform shine in the last step ?

The body has been spraypainted with 3 coats of Tamiya TS-08 Italian Red, next I started to polish the bodyparts with Micromesh polishing pads (3200 to 12000), and finally I polished all the parts with Tamiya Compound (Coarse, Fine and Finish). The result is not bad, but if I want the model to stay shiny like this, even in 20 years, I think I'll have to add some clearcoats...
