Only is better than none😢 Nice progress so far. I keep that in my mind to remove the Spritzschutzleiste first! By the way good details at the bridge section. Looking forward to your build. Cheers, Christian

Thx.
But the bridge still is incomplete at this moment.
A lot more details are still missing.
But I guess, they´ll be added next😉

I do love my "huge" etching parts. This would be way too small for me...! Nice job, Matthias!

If you would build real ships with this speed, you would be the backbone of our economy.😉
Looks good.

Hello mates,

the project is actualy on hold.
The paintscheme I´ve used is completly wrong!!! 😳 👎
I thought, I´ve had pictures of each side of Z 30, but that´s not so. 🙁
So I will remove the paint completly and restart the build as Z 24.
But it´ll take a few days or more until there´ll be pictures to show.

Christian Meyerhoff
Hi Mathias,
You named your album "Building Z-24" So what went wrong with the paintscheme if it was Z-24 instead of Z-30?
30 May 2014, 17:05
Mathias Carl
the problem was, that I only have two photos of Z 30.
And both are showing the starboard-side.
So the paint-sheme of port side is speculativ.
Therefore that the stb-side of the trumpeter sheme is definitly wrong I´m quite sure the port side is the same.

From z 24 I´ve got pictures showing both sides.

Added some pictures of the new paintsheme.

very impressive. It is inspiring to watch it. Please carry on and provide us with pics!

Important information! Mhhh, I thought the camo scheme of Z30 shown in Trumpis manual was more or less correct according to the only few photos! Do you have some more information about the faults? Cheers, Christian
P.S. the new scheme looks pretty good!

Hi Carl! As mentioned before, this will be another Masterpiece from you! Impressing work!

As I wanted to restart with my Z 24 I had to recognize, that many vital parts of the kits have been lost during the moving from Stralsund back to Westerstede.
Because I´m not able to rebuild these parts from, the Project is cancelled and the remains of Z 24 will be used as spareparts for other projects.
But there´s no pity about it, because I´ve not been realy satisfied with the paintjob and other details.

But don´t be scared:
There are enough other kits in my stash😉

The last thing to say will be:
Thanks to all, who followed this build.

Mathias Carl
Thx mate.
I´ve already something in my mind...
22 April 2015, 18:32
Holger Kranich
Du wohnst in Westerstede?
Trotzdem danke.
