I'm your man, Tim! I'm in for watching. That looks like an interesting project! Will you do the wiring (brakes, ignition etc)?

Very nice Job so far! Please remove the injector marks from the side boards. This would be an improvement🙂 If you want to go further with the Detail painting and some steering cables, please notice that there are two throttles on the steering bar. Left one for adjusting the ignition, right one for Speed. The fuel tank was made out of two halves. On the left Hand gasoline on the other Hand engine oil. How do I know... Restored three of them and rode one for many years. You work is excellent so far! Keep it comming mate! If you Need additional Information, please let me know. Don`t get me wrong, this is an outstanding work!

hi Christian, believe it or not, those are not injection marks! And thanks for the additional info!

dunno exactly, but I think it's supposed to look like this: [img1]

Hi Tim! Your are right, this a Harley Davidson Side board! The model you are building depicts an Army Model coded WLA. ( A for Army) the civilian Version is coded WLC ( C for Civilian). Additional there were the UL Models which had a 1200 ccm Flathead engine instead of the smaller 750 ccm engine of the WL Models. All of the civilan Versions had the HD brand on the side boards, but not the army Versions. It is a mistake of the kit, not Yours 🙂
11 March 2014, 20:37
Tim van Dooremalen
I think they might have used a WLC as a base for this kit anyway. Just look at the tip of the front fender... there is a small "edge" which I haven't noticed on WLA's....
11 March 2014, 20:52
Christian Meyerhoff
Yep! This tip is a Chrome part of the civilian Version. Sand it down and it will be Army-Style. But once again... I don`t want to criticize Your outstanding work on this small masterpiece. Despite of all my coments.. Very well done!

Tim, I echo all the above comments and I will be most interested in comparing notes along the way. 🙂
Well, I now have four bikes to build from three boxes, and I dare say I should be an authority on them by the end as well.🙂
Cheers. 👍
