TAMIYA acrylic paints , mixed as per their instructions. Thanks James for your comments. I loved building them. These were my first models (with the BF109 family in the 90s where I painted them with "colour toning" as I call it. This is for varying the colour tone to show sun bleaching and weathering. It was good fun. I always try to blend my colour toning so it is barely visible, but its there showing the wear and tear. After all , you look at an aircraft from say 50m its not that easy to reckonise the colour difference, same for panel line highlighting I try to make it subtle, as the panel lines also dont stand out at a distance. I try to panel highlight, lightly for the same reasons mentioned above. But its there to make the model look more eye catching.

The good old 90's when we where upstairs both working on our production line of Mr Tamiya's 109E's. I remember this Spitty too, another beauty of your bench.
