My modeling pals and I are on a bit of a 1:144 craze, so I on an impulse ordered this beast (which I´d never be able to build or house in a larger scale). I had been impressed by the Il-76´s layout and shape earlier and thought now was the time to tackle it.
I have several more 1:144 kits, nearly all of them smaller - save the mighty Tu-95 "Bear", which is larger yet than this one.
The model is sized around 30 cm in length and wingspan - large but still manageable.
