Album info

Circa 1989.
The ST (single tail) had existed for months by September 1943 when it assumed the XB-24K designation. What is little known is that in Spring of 1943, when the production nose turret program was in planning and development the B-24K Series designated the twin tail NAA Dallas A-15 Emerson configuration. When that belatedly entered production, it did so as the G- 1. Block. The ST then became the K series. Likewise the NAA version of the varied armament L-CO Series was the B-24N but when it entered production these only had block changes to the G and J -NT. The Ford ST program assumed the N series designation.
