I agree with everyone above. You really reflect the horror and tragicomic aspect of war in a unique way.

Thanks a lot everybody for the likes and compliments.

@Spanjaard interaction between the figures and their environment is key for me for a good diorama. It is what helps the story come across. Convincingly. The barbed wire is hand twisted. Pretty much in the same manner real barbed wire is done. Really time consuming but I still have to come across a commercial product that is close to equal in looks.

@Villiers de Vos. Through the years I have collected a really big digital library of reference pictures and original postcards that I collect as well. They give you exact views on the horrendous conditions in that area at the time. And it is really fun to recreate it. You can play with mud. Water. Ruins. Everything is dirty.

@Erik No thanks a lot. I like creating a good interaction between the figures and their environment. The right expression on their faces is a pretty big part of the story

@ Neuling. Thanks a lot. I always aim to make a simple little story that if not relatable to everybody then at least instantly recognizable. War is always horrible. Ww1 was uniquely horrible. But in that atmosphere it is still possible to create a slice of humanity. Or humour

absolutely agree with you Robert. I have done hand made barbed wire myself in the past. No commercial product can be compared.
