He 162 with Eduard, Aires and CMK
View images (25):
After 3 years of false starts, I decided to begin this project towards the end of 2011. This model requires significant modification to fit all the various sets, and mix and match parts between them. The tail cone was also cut off and fitted back on a tapered, extended collar to resemble the real aircraft. The fuselage will be foiled with aluminium also.
This album is attached to project Heinkel He 162A-2 with CMK & Aires resin.

I knew I should have built the Albatros first
When I'm at the engine stage, which is the biggest job on this, I might start the other project concurrently.

The pix and your work on the cockpit is absolutely wonderful. The way you fitted the Airesstuff into the fuselage is great, too! Keep the pix coming, this is quite addictive!
Btw, the flaps are not as long as the wing, has it got to be like this?

No, there was several millimetres. I have a technical book for the 162 which show them way too short too. You can't tell now though. The landing flaps should look good with droop to them.
