Hello,,
To complete my recent Hawker Homage 😮) I have got Trumpeters Sea Fury to the start. As the Tempest, the Fury is quite a beautiful aircraft -no, both are the most beautiful!
The kit will be enhanced with etched parts from Eduard. You can see the assembled cockpit, completely made of that stuff. After closing of the fuselage not much of that effort can be seen...
Greetings Roland

Great cockpit with some nice details! The paintjob in the pit is very beautifull and looks awesome, I stay tuned!

Hello Philip, I feel encouraged!
I have a question and am quite confident that somebody can give me a hint: Trumpeter expects me to paint the wheel bays and the landing gear in aluminum, but I would prefer "sky", that means the colour of the lower fuselage.
I once have read, that it was a Navy fashion to paint the whole area in the colour oft he surrounding area... To make it short: do you anything about the right colour for the undercarriage/ wheel bay?
I am grateful for any hint!

Hi Roland, what I have seen on many foto's is that the wheelbays are in the same color as the cockpit, in your case I think you used cockpit green?
That's my opinion but hé how am I😉

Hi Philip, that´s sounds good to me. Nearly all the pictures I have seen show something like that...
For the interior I used a shade of gray... from Gunze H 334 according to Trumpeters specification.
The fuselage and the wings have been assembled by now. The elevators have been angled to get some life into the appearance.

Nice job. I especially like the stand under the tail 😉

Thank you guys!
The Sea Fury is ready for the decals by now. What you can see are the plain surfaces for that next step, no weathering or washing what so ever have been applied. The rivets have lost nothing of there beautie, even after several coats of colour. 😮).. but I guess I will leave it at that.

Gun barrels made from hyphothermic needles, attachment of a deep drawn canopy and the detailing of the wingfolding mechanism- I guess that´s all what remains to do with this beautiful Hawker offspring.
Doesn´t it look like the racing machine it really was? 🙂

... and thank you all for participating!
I have managed to shoot some pictures of the finished Sea Hawk; after all I am quite pleased to have this impressive looking aircraft done!
By the way: the back part of the canopy was made with a deep-drawn part and the kits tires have been exchanged by Resin wheels from Barracuda details.
