What Eduard PE-Set did you take? Zoom?

Hi! It´s the big.... Ed, I am going to use. I have worked with "interior-" and the "Ju 87- seatbelts" photo etched parts this far. In the near future, I will be able to detail with the Eduards "exterior" set and the cockpit masking. At least these are essentiel with a model like the Ju 87. The portion of spaghettis have been one of the ingredients of Verlindens motorset.

Hi Roland, I like the progress and detailing so far

Thank you guys 😮) I´m going to erase the glue seams to be able to preshade the underside of wings/ fuselage. I will post some picture when this is done.

1/32 is an impressive scale for the Stuka. I am also watching out for that Trumpeter 1/24 Stuka... Any news ?

Roland Sachsenhofer
No news about a 1/24 scale Stuka diving on us- apart that it will be a "D" version, release is promised for the very next future...
You are right, the Ju 87 is pretty huge and looks GREAT on the workbench. If I would dare a 1/24 scale kit- an idea quite appealing to me- I would choose the Airfix Mosquito

You are off to a promising start, Roland, I am waiting to see the progress on your stuka, this is my favourite tank busting version (want to see the cannons...) 🙂

Thank you Aghis. You will not have to wait long 😮) The parts are assembled and will be handled and finished separate from the "ship". Eduards etched parts will replace the muzzles. Besides that, there is some scratched addition to do for me.

Sounds good, I am getting impatient...🙂

Aghis, thanks for your endurance... here are some pictures of the canon pods- finished more or less. Eduards gun muzzles have not been used, instead me and my Proxxon had a "drill session" with the plastic parts. I think that fits more the rather solid look of the real thing. Next comes the upper side of the fuselage...

Thege guns look menacing! Good work Roland!
I have brass cannons and muzzles for my 1/48 - no drilling, 🙂 hehe!
I very much like your progress so far.

Hi, Roland, I am uploading a photo of the muzzle for you, the photo is from a relic gun in Chania, Kreta. [it will be in my photoalbums]

Hi, I added some new pictures of this project getting grown up- both RLM 70 and 71 have been painted, yesterday I could do the main work of weathering. Next will be the decals, surfaces have already been prepared with Gunze "Gloss Clear".

Nice Work. I can see this turning out great!

Hello Tim, hello Aghis, your words are encouraging me. Today was !decal day"... Hasegawas stuff is a little bit yellowish- nothing uncommon for the older kits- but for the indented finish it´s quite ok. In any other way, the decals showed all the qualities you may desire.
Rivets have been perforated after applying.

Thank you Holger! This project is in the home straight by now. But I am still curious and anxious to see what the finished Verlinden- Junkers Jumo 211 will look like...

Great job on the seat belts, and shoulder harness. Who's did you use?
5 September 2011, 20:12
Roland Sachsenhofer
Thanks Bill. I applied the "Big Ed" set from Eduard, compromising of etched parts for the interior, the exterior and a masking set. Cockpit interior has been made using most of the etched parts.

Hello, I would like to show you some new pictures, mainly of the just fixed and attached engine. Installing Verlindens Jumo 211 was quite a tricky fun 😮). I had to re-arrange the whole construction two times- but at last- it was done. All the "cables and wires" have not been connected by now.
Next will be a final reduction of the overall gloss and, of course, the attachment of the glass house and the gun pods.

You can really be proud of your work, actually! It´s a big beast with a very nice engine. You, Verlinden and Hasegawa did a great job!

I like how this is progressing, I am beginning to regret that I never got this kit...😢

Hello Holger, hello Aghis, thank you for your quite motivating words! This Hasegawa kit- I was not aware of that before- is not a new one. Parts breakdown in genreral, lost accuracy in some molds and the rather simplifying shape of specific parts date this kit back to the 90´s, in my opinion. Does somebody know more in that matter?

Roland Sachsenhofer
Thank you, Michael! The work on my Ju 87 G-1 has now been finished. I finally succeeded in arranging the gun pods on the right place... One thing is left to do: the pilots cockpits does not fit very well, its too small to stay in place. I will have to glue it on place. Besides that I must not forget to remove the masking tape from the landing light 😮)

Hi guys, thank you for your comments! Aghis, you mentioned the last two photos...: the two etched crosshairs are lovely, aren´t they? 😮)
