Somehow I ended up in two Group Builds at the same time, so here is the other project to go along with my F-111B. I think this one will be less work! The Curtiss XF15C-1 was one of several mixed-propulsion aircraft (prop & jet) that the US Navy had in development during the late stages of WWII. It was the last US Navy aircraft to bear the Curtiss name. Unfortunately, it was not ordered into production as the US Navy preferred the Ryan FR Fireball. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Pro Resin (Olimp) kit - it is beautiful. I can smell the Dark Sea Blue already!

Bill: im very very very glad to see this absolutely seldom type as model!! And build so good. THX for sharing! You next project? Maybe XF14C?

I'm calling this one done - several photos of the completed model have been added. Hope you like this obscure beast from the late 40s. 🙂

@Bernhard - what's next? Well, I still have to finish my F-104 Joe Walker tribute for a Britmodeller Group Build. And then I think I'm finally going to start the TSR.2. I have a ton of aftermarket for that one, so it should be quite a project! I'll have to look into the XF14C - I think that may be more obscure than the XF15C, if that's possible. Didn't they only build one of those?

your XF-15C turned out really nice!
According to Bowers book of Curtiss Aircraft two prototypes of the XF14C were ordered (XF14C-1 and XF14C-2) but only the XF14C-2 with serial 03183 was completed in September 1943.
