Gary Kitchen Thanks guys. New year new start. This is on the shelf of doom currently but I will get back to it at some point. I'm treating myself to a nice simple Airfix Mig-17 at the moment and a cyber hobby BF110 which I am enjoying. But I'm not giving up here 😄
Hi All, I wondered if anyone with Spanish Airforce knowledge might help. I've been reading a couple of sources that note that in 1973 Spanish HU-16 Albatross and Moroccan naval vessels exchanged fire over trawlers and fishing rights. Anyway, one story suggests an Albatross fired 70mm rockets across the bow of a Moroccan frigate- I can't find any images of armed Hu-16s and have no idea how they were so equipped given that most were SAR aircraft. Is anyone able to help point me in the right direction? Cheers.

David R. Meizoso Hi, Gary. I've never hear of this incident, but a quick search led me to this pdf about fishing conflicts between both countries, resulting in the above mentioned warning shots on april the 2nd, 1973. There is no info about plane type though, just that it came from Gando air base in Spain. Maybe this can help somehow in your research.
Gary Kitchen Hi David, thanks for your message and the link which was very interesting. I've decided to press on even if it's a What IF -type scenario now. I have a couple of references but alas still no pictures. The A Model kit has a two possible underwing hardpoints inside the outer wing float. The two next to the float on each wing have fuel tanks but on one inner hardpoint, I will mount a LAU-3 launcher and go with that.
