I'm also building this model. There are a few issues with the kit. If i build a second one i would just miss out the swing wing pylon articulation and glue fixed. The slat attachment is badly engineered, that could have been so much better. Another issue i find is the nose cone does not blend well to the body and looking at photos of the real thing it seems there is an extra vertical panel at the nose cone interface. Photos show the transition at the tapered vertical panel. It would tak a lot of sanding and shaping to blend this properly. Surface engraved detail is hit or miss--vastly overdone on the horizontal stabilisers and faint in other areas. First time i've built a Revell kit since the 1970s and hate the style of the instructions. Decals are very good and eventually will look ok.Would have been better to have a more comprehensive weapons choice but since i bought this discounted and its already a good price i feel its not a major point.

Another few things i have just found - the tyre profiles for the main wheels are more like and F1 slick. I'm going order the Eduard replacements. There is something wrong with the positioning of the inboard pylons. Ive checked and checked and cant see anything ive done wrong but they are too far back. My sidewinder tail fins are going to hit the lowered flap. - I need to get some images up i guess of my progress with my one.

No i like the blue and green gp bombs but none came with the kit so will have to source some.

It is a shame, the kit is basically a cleanskin. I don't know why they don't include the weapons with it. They are not exactly Hasegawa.

Hi Alistair. I am totally agree with you regarding the instructions. Firstly the colors... why?? And second.. the bright paper is a pain in the.... the reflexion of the lamp on the paper made it unreadable.... thanks for giving us an advance of the model.
