The correct topic for any Boeing -135 series aircraft (KC, EC, RC, etc.) should be "Boeing 717." The KC-135 family was a separate build from the Boeing 707, Note that Boeing re-used the 717 model number when they obtained McDonnell Douglas, and upgraded the MD-80 series aircraft. That may cause a bit of confusion.

Not sure what to do about this...

The current scalemates listing for Vallejo Model Air 71.074 Radome Tan FS33798 is the following:

The above is supported by this Vallejo Model Air Color Range chart, which I assume is an older publication:

However, the current chart on Vallejo's site indicates the product to be Vallejo Model Air 71.074 Beige FS33695

The later aligns with the bottle of Vallejo Model Air 71.074 Beige FS33695 which I bought today.

Should I go ahead and change the original entry? It may become an issue for people whole may have product with the earlier name. However, adding a new entry into the database would create two products with the same product number but different names.

Not sure what to do.

I have a question regarding boxarts. There is following warning for boxart picture upload:

IMPORTANT: DO NOT UPLOAD boxart pictures which (partially) contain a real photo of the original!!!
Even when they come from the brand website

I was wondering why is it that way. I can understand copyright issues with some newer photos. So do the manufacturers apparently, because they do not use unlicensed photos. Now what if the "boxart" with real photo comes directly from manufacturers' catalogue, with some corporate graphic and subject description added? The real photo is of some WWII subject or older and is in public domain. Such uploaded boxarts are still being removed.

Why is it that way?

Dubena Cesky Dub No. 3228 Esso Tanker originally was C.F. Riegel Esso Tanker from the early 1960s. Dubena even uses the same box art, with slightly different colours. So the description "New tool 1975" at Dubena 3228 kit should be updated to "Reissue"

I might be able to make another album with the same name (didn't try that before), but you won't be able to tell which album is for which edition.

This is a though one.....

All 3 examples of ships = 100% RC, not scalemates (primary goal is RC, details are rudimentary, no aftermarket sets exist, brands mostly not known by plastic modellers.)

The 1:16 RC Tigers = of course RC, but also scalemates as many pure scale modeling aftermarket sets exists

The new Laminar Flow Design for the 1/32 Spitfire Mk.XII is suggested for the three Tamiya 1/32 Spitfires. It's not really meant for the low-back Mk.XVI, the Mk.XII only had the earlier canopy.

Would it be possible to add in paints, the WW2 Soviet aviation color palette like AMT colors, etc... and also Regia Aeronautica colors like Giallo Mimetico 1,2... Verde Mimetico, etc?
It would be the same thing to do when you write the color scheme in the kit edition and put the number of a federal standard color or a British standard color.

Re UK Destroyer Topics and using the following as an example

SCM Topic: Destroyer U-class

This has as an ALT1 -V-class (1943)

However I have just tried to enter kit which was for the V-class destroyer (1943)

When I typed V-class it did not give me the option of selecting the above topic taking me to this as an option which is the WWI version

SCM Topic: Destroyer V-class (1917)

(this has a ALT W-class)

My first thought is we should amend all UK Destroyer topic names and remove the Alt

So in this example the top topic should be renamed

Destroyer U and V-class

However would this solve the issue ?

Another option although probably not historically correct is to give each their own topic?

Here is another gallery which was given a NEW topic, namely Tanker OI-class

It hasn't as yet pushed through to the contributions page. However I did save an url
