Lighthouse Crowdy Head, (Australia 1878, Manning River entrance)
Core of thick yellowish cardboard coated with structured white thin cardboard.
Glued with thinned white glue.
As with the last three lighthouse projects, I will not use acrylic paints but will work with Humbrol and Airbrush.
Plattform glued temporarily with 4 small blobs of white glue for installing of the 12 support arms. The support arms glued only to the platform, not to the tower.
It worked well: Plattform removed without mess. Will be separately primed and airbushed. Priming is necessary because the parts are made of thick porous and absorbent cardboard.
Offwhite instead snow white (60%H22 and 40%H34 and a bit of black).
After completing an another modeling project I continued the work on my actual lighthouse.
As usual I used for all windows ONE bended clear part stripe for better handling and strength.
Instead wire I used 0,4 mm plastic round rod. Painting coming at next.
The lighthouse does not stand exactly horizontal but on a meadow sloping slightly to the sea (see next picture, Wiki commons) Therefore, I cut into the part represented the concrete slabs a hole.
Nearly completed minus a handful parts (pipes and a “spear” on the top of the tower).

Glad to see that it continues!
Last week I have see all those light houses at Super Hobby with 12% discount, and available again. But I could resist, because I really have enough to do in my stash.
