wow! nearly one year and no comment? unbelivable. Awesome built! That black paintjob was stunning but the blue is outstanding. Well done with a lot of details. Well done.

I totally agree! How could this built dissapear? Great built. The work on the chassis is ... can't remember to see this kind of painting with this separate frame painted or in the engine compartment. Not to talk about this incredible work on the engine on first place. Your detailling is grat. Like Dominik wrote: the gloss black was pretty nice as well. That was only thought as base cote I guess.

Thanks Dominik and Christian The black was the base I used for the Gravity Spain McLaren chrome. I then had to seal the chrome layer before I could spray the electric blue candy. I'm really happy with how it turned out. It was a lot or work, but I took it to my first model show and she took first in the street machines category. My '41 Chevy pickup took 2nd in street trucks. I was shocked for my first show.

No, sorry, I wasnt talking about your photos 🙂 I meant on my models the white decals are very tough to apply and very fragile so im fighting to get them on. I really dont like Revell decals, even the new ones.

@Phil Ah yeah. The first set turned blue because I didn't know to put a coat of clear down before the decals. They looked like really bad blue jeans a week after I 2Ked over them. I ended up reaching out to Revell Germany and getting a second set (The us car doesn't have the stripe decals), then working my butt off to get them to line up as close to perfect as I could get over the originals and not look bad.

I rarely do clear coat before applying decals, but the Revell decals are usually very thin and fragile, especially the US decals...most of them you can see through. Germany seems a bit better but still not as good as other companies for a very recent kit.
