The CAD and renderings of the kit show a late MF as built in the Gorkyi factory - it has features that differ notably from the vast majority of the MF that were built in Moscow. I hope RFM takes that into account re the finish and decal options.

Hi Johan, could you elaborate a bit more on those differences. I'm not in any way an expert on MiG-21s but in general I like to have my markings correct for the type of aircraft I'm building. Having said I'm not into MiG-21s that much, I would love to have a go at this kit as I really like building RFM kits.

Hi Patrick, the Late MF was built on the BIS production line and has a number of quite distinctive features on the hull and wings. You can find a complete explanation of the differences - including detail drawings - on Eduard's website.

Both Slovak options are wrong - those are Moscow built examples.

The picture on the box is "One second before the epic fail"))) If you open the parachute before touching the landing gear of the runway, the speed will drop sharply and you will collapse.

Well, I can't say anything about the kit. Perhaps the model will be good. I liked the T-55AMD, and I plan to get this set as well. However, it's a must to make fun of the controversial box art)))
