Start now, it is the finish date that matters. Let people join the band wagon anytime they want, great incentive to get a model finished.... and the best part we are doing this as a group for the fun of it.

I changed it,is the finish date to soon?

1970-, does that mean designs from '70 n' forward or does it include older designs used after '70, F-4 Phantom II as an example, old design but still in use today.

I'm thinkin' on doin' the iconic MiG-21 as well. It did see service all over the world n' is still in use in more than a few countries...

Nice choice!

I'd say as both the ancient adversaries F-4 Phantom II n' the MiG-21 is designed before 1970 but still in use around the world today. Here's my sugestion for the rules then. Designed after 1970 is ok with the exception of fighter planes designed before 1970 that is still in use today.

production of the MIG 21 also lasted well past 1970...so no worries I would say

I plan to build an MIG-21, but my favorite paint scheme is from 1968. Is this a problem?

Is fighter bombers ok or is it strictly fighters? If that's ok I've got a SLUF to build...
2 April 2014, 18:29
Augie
If F-4 is ok, I would argue a SLUF is too.. just my 2 p worth
2 April 2014, 18:34

Christian: yeah that's works
Urban: read the details they'll answer your question.😉
Augie: the F4 works 🙂

I am thinking aboutb to attend. I would participate with a Mig 23. Made its maiden flight in 1967 but entered into service in 1970. Is this according to zhe rules?
2 April 2014, 20:25
B
Yup! That works Christian 🙂
