So...What's the story on the EADS/CASA C-295 Persuader? Why so few kits? According to the database, it's one BroPlan and one Scratchaeronautics. Now the CASA CN-235, the predecessor to the C-295, has multiple kits by Scratchaeronautics, but only Scratchaeronautics. Nobody does a decent styrene kit of either of these birds? Those of us in the marine patrol/transport crowd are perplext.

You're supposed to only want to build a Spitfire, Mustang or Bf-109.
If you don't like propellers then a Sabre or F-18
What sort of crazy person wants to build anything else?

Well...I like floatplanes, marine patrol and cargo planes. I dabble in others, but those are my highest interest. I'm seeing other CASA CN-295 on the history of the one currently listed. My search may be faulty.

Yeppers...My mistake was searching under the EADS listing. Under CASA CN-295, there's the whole list of mostly Scratchaeronautics kits. I think these craft are eye candy. I put them in the same category as the Dassault Falcon, the Bombadier Challenger, or the Gulfstream G-550, all with decent styrene kits on the market. I guess props aren't as 'hot' as the newer jet platforms for electronic control craft, but SAAB's offering in the area should ignite interest.

It looks like an Antonov An-24 that's been dieting and working out and finally gets to tart up for a night out on the town.
It also looks to be the kind of unit that the old DHC might have produced out of its stellar line of aircraft. Gone are those days...

I see that it is no longer CASA, but Airbus. Munch, crunch, gurgle....burp?

One company announced a styrene C-295 last year, but it was waaaaay before the bat plague hit us all. Since then no news about it anymore 🙁
CASA C-295M (Answer AA72010, 1:72)
Lately there were some mergers/rebrandings occurring in European aerospace, hence now we have Airbus Military, Airbus Helicopters, Leonardo and so forth.
Got a BroPlan as a gift few years ago and still planning to build it one day. Gonna go for the Polish version (of course), but I have to admit the Canadian livery is the most attractive for this plane 👍

Well, the Canucks have certainly mastered the hi-viz stylin' with panache.
So...It looks like somebody in Poland has the molds. Sooner or later, that's gonna come out on the market. I hope. Thanks for that info, mates!

Not sure they got the molds or just launched marketing campaign...

Well, if they are marketing a 2020 release, somebody better have some molds. And, yes....I've seen expected release dates deferred for months. And 'Answer'? Will anybody here on the left coast of North America ever see Answer kits anywhere nearby? Will they even be available online? (And, my tightwad muscle just started twitching, too.)

Hey....Answer has a Facebook page. I went there and asked what the scene was on their Persuader kit, urged them to proliferate possible decal options, and consider an updated kit for the Canuck upgrades.

Would be nice to get the Canadian version. Definately one of the brighter schemes out there!

Heh...Okay, I heard back. The complete message, after my effusive post of encouragement and suggestions (SAR version) was, "CASA is planned for 2021." So, I responded with, "Ah, just another 12 months, then?"

My guess is: it's in the queue somewhere. At the beginning of their foray into plastic kits they announced two W-3 Sokół kits: 1/48 & 1/72. 48th appeared about a year ago on the market, still waiting for the 72nd though. C-295 must be third or even next I'm afraid...

Yeah, sure. The thing I find surprising is that you can get kits of craft which had maybe less than ten working examples having models widely available, while a craft which seems to be nearly worldwide with over 150 working examples and still producing, and taking orders briskly, has one resin model maker, whose kits are 'pricey', that even makes the design. And, it's a snappy looking piece of work, too, that design.
