Hi Albi, this is really a fantastic job.

Thank you mates.
But to be honest Tamiya did a great job with this one! The right mixture between details and "fun" to build. .... I like the "Piston Big Ones" from Tamiya.
I'm almost finished the Navy one....

Great weathering on the seat and the paintjob is awesome!👍

Thank you Holger. I used the AK "worn effects". Maybe a little bit too much for somme folks. It was a test.
The paint job is a test as well, it works 😉 but its not finished ... next steps a oil washing ...
but thank you so far.

Thank you for your words of praise.
I agree with you. The Tamiya "big ons" are at a very high price but i think you should go for one once upon a time. Its pure fun to build.

I know Albi. It is worth the money. But I have recently bought the MPM 1:48 Hi-tech Heinkel 177 Greif . Now and then we have to make choices. Maybe next year. I now enjoy this corsair of yours 🙂

Albi Hitz
Ohhh !!! It stands to reason. I like the "Greif" and I'm curious, how you will handle this "BIG ONE"!
I'm sure it will become a gem!
It's time to finish the Corsair ....

For now the big boys are still staying in the box.
(Monogram Liberator, B17, Heinkel 111, Ju 88 and Ju 188 Dragon)
Gotta get a bigger house first. 🙂
Yes its time to finish the corsair. We want to see the end result 🙂
Good luck and have fun with the building.

The more I look at that guy in the cockpit...
I realize how period it looks! hard to achieve with paint. That expression on his face is phenomenal, again so period. Excellent work Albi very poignant of that time...

Thank you Neil.
@ Steve: Thank you for your encouraging words!
I worked with oil color and odorless turpentine ...

You got a lot of well deserved applaud in English, so let me say it in German: das ist eine unglaublich tolle und gelungene Arbeit, jedes Mal ansehen ein einziger Genuß!

Hallo Burkhard, Hallo Roland, Hallo Stefan.

I always had a question about seats of WWII fighters, why didn't they have any cushion?
1 December 2013, 17:58
George Bacon
They sat on their Parachutes...
1 December 2013, 18:31
Albi Hitz
The main reason was, the pilot seat on the parachute package.
Some planes got back cushions like the Spitfire.

I see! You are right! I used to think they were masochist! 😄

Simply fkn amazing, Albi! Thats how a Corsair has to look like! I, personally would never build with folded wings but anyway, this is a great build and a paragon for me!

Albi Hitz
Thank you Holger for this kind words. I wanted a well used Corsair 😉
You are right, with the folded wings, but I want show both ways ... the next will be with extended wings ....

Hallo Albi,
