Same question as Choppa Nutta!

Thanks for the compliments mates 🙂

Choppa & Neuling: The build was based partially on the line drawings included with the Unicraft DB.021 Turboprop Engines. Although I didn't extend the fuselage. My thought was a production line for the new wing & nacelles was a bit more realistic for the time. Although I almost used the DB.021 engines for an Ar234c, I thought the Me262 looked better and the higher endurance turboprops might have been ideal for a night-fighter.

I swear I had a book with a similar line drawing showing a proposed Me262 turboprop, but I since I'm unable to find it, I couldn't say for sure if this was an actual project.

Thanks for taking the time to answer Nathan, for the moment I shall call this a "Cool What If" version until someone can show otherwise but either way it is a cool variant of a classic !! 🙂

Ow wow that's quite unique Nathan! Not the prettiest 262 design around but wow I like it. Great work 👍

what a beautiful LW 46 project 👍 perfectly built and surprising paintwork 👍 👍 👍 borrowing from the Italian Air Force is allowed 🙂 we are currently discussing the quality of the old Trimaster / Dragon Kit 'elsewhere s, unfortunately not to the advantage of the 80s kits 😉 so again 👍 👍 👍 made great

Very cool design, and a well thought out story to back it up.
Great job all ' round

Thanks very much Otto, Jens, & Jan!

Otto: The Unicraft conversion is fairly basic and required a bit of sanding & filling, but was certainly easier than scratch building the whole affair🙂

Jens: I've built 5 Me262 kits and all of them the Trimaster or Dragon kit. They are older molds, but the Trimasters do have many upgrades included. I now have 2 Tamiya kits and at some point I'll build them and I'm sure it will be much easier🙂

Thanks Nathan. I bought the 1/48 Unicraft conversion yesterday. Can you please measure your prob blade length and nacelle length? My copy seems like it's actually 1/72, the prob blades are smaller than a 1/72 Fw 190 prob blades. Thank you.

Otto: The props are approximately 22mm and the nacelle is about 90mm including the prop hub.

Thanks Hans, Neil & Guillaume!

My new hobby area is finally up and running, but I can't decide what to start first. I'll admit I have been looking at my 1:48 Bv 155…

That would be a nice project to "break in" the new hobby room 😉

Very creative.

Thanks Villiers!

Alain: This was a conversion of DML's Me262B to DB.021 turboprop type engines. This is a "what-if" aircraft. A complete flight of fancy.
