main assembly is straightforward, but Alan has again included some time consuming additions for the ambitious modeller😉

How did you make the weld seams ans what were the " time consuming" additions and btw looks nice 🙂

hehe... those additions were sink- and ejector marks, which I had to fill/remove😉
making weldinglines is easier than it seems... I used a pice of stretched sprue, glued it where the line should be and waited a bit. Then you have to dissolve the piece of sprue again (with glue or better paint thinner) and wait a bit. Then and use a cutter to bring the pattern in. You´ll gett quite good results when you hold it in an agle about 45° to the surface (from below).
If you don´t like it you can sand it away copletely, (or just parts) and try it again

all the small lugs hold me up quite a while, all 16 were bended from wire and then fixed in two small holes each dirlled in before ... next will be the painting... finaly...

Thanks... been quite a time since the last update... but paint is on and stencils are on aswell... somehow I must have picked either the wrong inner or outer stencils for the german crosses as they didn´t lineup properly. tried to corrrect it... well there must have been some even such unprofessional markings😉

Looks very nice, I like how you made the wood grain. Did you preshade before painting it gray? I see different shades of grey and that gives the model more depth.

Thanks Patrick. Woodgrain is just a bit burnt umber oil color on a yellow base.

I´ve never been a fan of preshading, as it never worked as I wanted it to... This tank is one of my earlier trys with color modulation with just using "lights". I´ve started with a standard panzer grey and added only lighter tones (by mixing a bit light grey in the original color) on top surfaces and in the middle of larger surfaces. Might be one or two additional tones in there. I don´t use "shades" anymore as washes and filters tend to darken the entire paintjob already. What I´ve learend afterwards is, it looks even better if you´re getting lighter the more you´re moving upwards:
running gear: "dark", a few lights
hull: more lights on big panels and brightest tone on top surfaces
trurret: lighter as hull, birghtest lights on top surfaces
I hope it gets clear, if not: I´ve used this technique on my T-34: T-34/85, Yugoslavia, around 1995 | Album by nng (1:35) (Painting starts at Pic 48 )

Thanks for the advice. I have never used color modulation but when I build a one-color vehicle I will definetly use different tones.

Finaly, after almost a year, I´m done. The bathtub is completed. Just a little dust, nothing fancy.😉
