BozzerI have been after this kit for a while now. Finally got it off eBay, for the same price I can buy it in the states. This is gonna be another project, when I get some bench room. Looks like I'm gonna be very busy in 2020.

BozzerThis is the truck Pig Pen(aka Love Machine) drove in the film 'Convoy' I'm gonna have to scratchbuild a moosebar for the front, but I can get the decals. Planning on hooking it up with the AMT Wilson Livestock trailer. There's enough pictures and info around, to do a good replica of the film truck.

BozzerI'm a big lover of the truck movies. Probably from memories of being a kid and watching them? I actually built the ERTL Rubber Duck kit, around 1980. It was a Christmas present off my brother. Man, I can't believe how much they go for now, and the kit isn't even correct! Don't ya know, come back😉

Danny Meer@Bozzer still not sure what to do with my Convoy Rubber Duck, conversion kit gonna cost me more then the truck did...was thinking to atleast stretch the chassis and leave the rest as is..
And the love machine would be cool to make incl the livestock trailer

Bozzer@Danny. I have started my own RD. It's a long project. I'm happy to share the information that I have, but the list, files and reference pics are many. If you are confident with scratchbuilding and ain't scared of doing some plastic surgery, then I can show you how to get a decent duck out of a Mack R685ST kit.

Bozzer@Chris. I had my own CB back in the 80's and again in the 90's. It was a lot of fun and certainly helped me avoid a lot of traffic situations (and the odd Smokey), back then. It's certainly a fun way to pass time. Maybe you could pick up a cheap scanner and listen to the guys local to you? 10-4

Danny Meer@Bozzer did some modifications and add-on's on my Tamiya 1:14 truck and love doing it 🙂
Don't have the Mack R685ST in my stash yet but can look for it.

BozzerSorry guys, I don't have the files or pics on this site yet, because it's still, a very much WIP. It's more of a labour of love, than a build, but I keep picking away at it. She is however, on her legs, with the body and sleeper painted black. I was never happy with the finish, so I plan to do her again. I even sourced the Duck hood emblem! Still have lots to do on her, but there's no rush. Great news is though, you can now get the trailer for her! Again, that's something I was gonna attempt, and even started! But for 70 bucks, I can save myself a lot of time and hassle.

Been searching for a trailer what comes close enough and try make it as correct as possible 🙂

Danny Meer@Bozzer, seen this 3d printed trailer on FB, there is a page called Rubber Duck Truck.
Problem for me is the costs for sending it to the Netherlands and hoping it would arrive in 1 piece lol
There is also a funeral with some1 on a trailer behind a Rubber Duck truck, that was he's last wish.
