Quick question: I do not know a lot about jets newer than the Messerschmitt Me-262 😄, but the sidewinders on this kit look very clunky to me. Which type should it carry? Maybe I can source some better looking alternatives.....

I would go with Aim-9L/M (they are externally pretty much identical) for the right wing and an ACMI pod for the left wing.

Yeah that would be right Mike, its the monogram tooling IIRC so the Missiles are not the best.

Parts prep started tonight...you can easily tell this is an older mold. Quite a bit of flash and also a bunch of sink marks in hard to reach places

Don't be so harsh on the poor molds, they're older than I am. 😄 The original Monogram kit dates from 1978, I'm rather amazed it made it into 2010. 😉

I decided to use a PE set for the cockpit....not designed for the Revel kit so it needs some improvisation to make it fit. I also decided to try my hand at rescribing the raised panellines.....a first for me....scary stuff, but it's working out so far
